Fallout 4 – I don’t want to set the world on fire
Every video game lover knows about the Fallout 4. It is a video game that plots a post-nuclear apocalypse. It is an action, thriller role-plays video game which is developed by Bethesda Game Studio. Fallout 4 is a part of a series and this is the fifth installment of the series. The initial date of release of this game was the 10th of November 2015. The game was released for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows. The plot of the movie is about an open post-nuclear apocalypse in Boston. It happens in 2287 and approximately 10 years after the events of Fallout 3 which is 210 years after The Great War due to which catastrophic nuclear devastation was caused. The new Fallout 4 use the Creation engine, the game has the single-player mode.
The layout of Fallout 4 is similar to that of Fallout 3 and Fallout: Las Vegas. There have been quite many and better upgrades in this video game that the gamers will definitely love. Fallout 4 introduces some new features including a layered armor system, base building and most thrillingly a dialogue system. The dialogue system comprises of 111,000 lines of dialogues. The enemies in the game have also been upgraded, now you can find enemies like Mole rats, raiders, super Mutants, Deathclaws and Feral Ghouls return along with their very own companion Dogmeat. Another one of the main upgraded features includes the ability to craft as well as deconstruct buildings and settlements. The player is able to rapidly travel to a location if he has already located it. Fallout 4 has better ammunition, weapons, and graphics as compared to the old versions of Fallout. The player has the option to view the game with either the first person’s perspective or the third person’s perspective.
At the start of the game, the players are given points so they can upgrade their own character, this progression system is called S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Each player has the ability to customize their weapons as well. On the other hand, each individual player can travel with only one companion at a time. Fallout 4 has received several awards and recognitions from gaming publications like Game-Spot, EGM, Games-Raider, IGN and Game Revolution.

Well, this song takes us really back in time. This song is a pop song which is written by Bennie Benjamin, Eddie Durham, Sol Marcus, and Eddie Seller. I don’t want to set the world on fire was written in the year 1938 but it was recorded 3 years later in 1941 by Harlan Leonard and His Rockets. Several musicians made the cover of this song which includes Horace Heidt and The Ink Spots. The best of these covers was of Horace Heidt which reached number 1 on the US pop chart.
This song has given some of the best memories to the generation of its time. It was one of the best pop songs of its time. The lyrics start with ‘I don’t set the world on fire, I want to start a flame in your heart….’ The lyrics really touch your heart along with the amazingly catchy melody.
Later in time, this song was recorded by Betty Carter, Frankie Laine, Anthony Newly, Suzy Bogguss and a few others. This was featured in the opening of the adventure game series which is Fallout 4. There are many reviews that the song I don’t want to set the world on fire reminds them of the game Fallout 3 which is one of the best positive marketing strategies.
Tribute to the song.
I don’t want to set the world on fire that was initially supposed to be used for the Fallout Intro. Although the interplay was not able to get the license for it so the idea had to be forcefully dropped. Although the game tried their level best to make it their song but fate is what it is. When the interplay could not get the license, they decided to use the song Maybe for the Fallout Intro which was the song of The Ink Spots. Although the reference and love to the song maintained as the character Dane recites the first line of the song in a dialogue.
Other than Fallout intro, this song was also being used for the closing move for Van Buren, the void Fallout 3 by Black Isle Studios. Fallout decided to give a tribute to the old but gold song I don’t want to set the world on fire. It was used in the Fallout 3 intro commercials. One can also hear the song on Galaxy News Radio throughout the entire game. Fallout has given a beautiful tribute to the 1938 song and has revived the amazing memories in the hearts and minds of the people belonging to that generation.
